Calendar server check mail frequency

Is there a way to stop calendar server from checking for mail every 30 seconds? I am running Maverick Server and when I enabled Invitations I see the calendar account logging into my mail server, which isn't OS X Server, every 30 seconds. That seems unnecessarily frequent, is there some way to adjust the setting?
